It’s been a fun year so far, but this month, we’ve got big plans for helping your kid grow closer to God like they never knew they could before.

The amazing thing about God is He is available to us. All the time, no matter what! AND God is faithful to His Word. So many things in life change… yet God is unchanging. His Word is as true today as it was on the day it was given! Our faith in God shouldn’t be based in how “close” we feel to Him in the moment because feelings are fleeting. Our faith in God should be based on His Word because it is fact and unchanging!  As Christ followers, it is our job to gain more understanding of God through the help of the Holy Spirit.

As a child, I learned five ways to grow in Christ and it still sticks with me today! You can remember it by assigning one of the five ways to a finger on your hand. Those ways are:

  1. Pray
  2. Read the Word
  3. Obey the Word
  4. Tell Others about God
  5. Go to Church

For the month of March, I would like to challenge you to do all five of these things to the very best of your ability. As parents, we set the example for our children. If telling others about God and attending church are not a priority in our lives, where do you think they will fall on the priority list for our children? It is on our shoulders to train up our children (Proverbs 22:6) and impress the Word of God on their hearts (Deuteronomy 6:7). When we do these things to the best of our ability, God’s Word promises, very specifically, that our children will not depart from them when they are older.

No matter what your family circumstances look like now, we believe that every child who is raised to grow in Christ will stay in or return to the Word of God when they are older. His Word never changes. Be encouraged and continue to stand on the Word of God. There is no rock more solid!

If there is any way we can be in prayer with you, please let us know by responding to this email. It is our honor to stand in agreement with you that your children would know Christ and love and serve Him!

Sincerely,
Alicia “Allie” Varela

Here’s what’s coming up in TWCCKids Ministry

THE MONTH OF MARCH: MUSICAL MEMORY VERSE CHALLENGE
For this quarter’s family activity packet, kids will learn how to spend time with God by engaging with Scripture in a fun and creative way. Kids will select a verse to memorize, put that verse to a song of their choice, and add their own creativity! There will be special surprises for any kids who want to perform their verse song for Allie or their teachers on a Sunday during the month of March!! Pick up your FREE Family Activity Packet at the TWCCKids Check-In table before or after service.

SUNDAY, APRIL 9TH @ 10AM: Resurrection Sunday Easter Service
This Easter, we will be having ONE combined outdoor service to celebrate Christ’s resurrection! Make plans to join us at the Central Campus before you celebrate with your family at home. Bring a chair and a blanket for the kids. It is going to be an incredible service of celebration and remembrance of Christ’s actions on the cross.

SUNDAY, APRIL 16TH @ 10AM: Family Day & Chili Cook-Off Competition
On the Sunday after Easter, bring your friends and family out to hang out with your church family. Immediately after service, we will be having a BBQ and Chili Cook-Off. There will be bounce houses for the kids and yard games for the adults. Make sure you sign up to enter your chili in the competition!

CHANGING GEARS: A 4-WEEK SERIES FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT ON JESUS' MINISTRY

SERIES OVERVIEW:

Clank! Beep! Clunk! Kids love robots, especially ones that can transform into something new or have really cool abilities. In this four-week series from Jesus’ ministry on earth, you’ll introduce kids to a different story each week that shows us how God’s truths never change, but Jesus changes everything — including us! We’ll see that we change when we know who God is, our past doesn’t change God’s love for us, and that Jesus changes how we see things because Jesus can change anything!
